CD Projekt announced its financial results for the first quarter of calendar year 2025, also revealing that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has passed another sales milestone.
Specifically, we hear that the last (not really) adventure of Geralt of Rivia has passed 65 million units shipped worldwide.
Speaking of which, we hear that the expansion Songs of the Past is in an advanced state of development by a team of 190 developers (most of whom are at Fool’s Theory, with CD Projekt RED providing creative oversight). More info will come at Gamescom in August.
The scope has been said to be closer to Blood and Wine than to Heart of Stone, and it’s a “properly big” expansion.
Revenue for the company was 191,107,000 PLN, up 6% year-on-year. Net profit was 106,200,000 PLN, down 5% year-on-year.
We also get the usual headcount update, showing that both the teams working on The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2 have grown sizably between February and April 2026.

Interestingly, we hear that CD Projekt RED has content in an advanced stage of development, and while it’s not as big as the Witcher 3 expansion, it’s expected to be released in 2026.
Interestingly, the company has an incentive program that ends in 2026, and it’s still 21% (418 million PLN in profits) away from its target. Yet its executives think that they still have a chance to reach that target, while “highly ambitious” could still be reached with both gaming and non-gaming projects in an advanced stage of production, and some initiatives they’re still working on, despite the fact that Songs of the Past has been moved to 2027.
This certainly sounds like CD Projekt RED still has some surprises in store for this year.
Below you can watch the usual video summary of the financial results, presented by CFO Piotr Nielubowicz.
If you’d like to compare today’s results with historical data, you can check out the results for the previous quarter, presented in March.
Other gaming companies have already announced their financial results this quarter, including Koei Tecmo, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Konami, Shift Up, Sega, Capcom, Bandai Namco, Square Enix, and Take-Two. CD Projekt is usually the last, so we should be done for this round.
