Today, Bandai Namco released two videos of its upcoming flight shooting game (or flight simulator-lite, as we prefer to call it here) Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve.
The first video, simply titled “The Art of Aircraft Trailer,” does exactly what it says on the tin, showing some of the most beautiful fighter jets that we’ll be able to pilot in the game.
Specifically, the F-22 Raptor, the Gripen E, the venerable MiG-21bis Fishbed, the Rafale M, the Eurofighter Typhoon, the Su-35S Flanker-E, the Mirage 2000-5, the F-35C Lightning II, and the Su-47 Berkut.
It’s pretty much aircraft porn, which is the best kind of porn.
The second video focuses on a discussion among the developers, who provide insight into the music and the sound effects of the game, including the new and improved technology used to make them more impactful and immersive.
The music is certainly a very relevant and emotional aspect of the Ace Combat series, so it’s a very interesting video.

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve will release on October 2, 2026, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, following the announcement from a few months ago. It’s the latest installment of the popular Ace Combat franchise, which culminated a few years ago with Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, that has broken all sales records for the series by shipping over 7 million units, after a period in which it remained dormant.
