Today, Microsoft hosted the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, with plenty of news not only for Xbox and PC users, but also for PS5 users and some bits and bobs for Nintendo fans.
If you did not manage to watch the livestream as it happened, we have gathered all the relevant announcements and reveals here for your perusal, so you can enjoy them on your own time without having to watch the whole thing.
We start with Gears of War: E-Day, which opened the showcase with a gameplay trailer showing the very beginning of the titular war against the Locust Horde.
The game will release on October 26, 2026, for PC and Xbox Series X|S. It’ll be an Xbox console exclusive, so the PS5 version has been officially canceled.
Next on the menu, from Playground Games, we get to take a new look at Fable. It’s coming on February 23, 2027, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
We then get to take a look at Halo: Campaign Evolved, coming on July 8, 2026, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
From Asobo and Focus Home Entertainment, next on the menu is Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, coming on August 27, 2026, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
Next on stage was Atlus, with Persona 4 Revival, releasing on February 18, 2027, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
Xbox Game Studios and Undead Labs presented State of Decay 3, coming in 2027 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
Sea of Thieves introduced the Custom Seas feature, which will let players create their own gameplay experiences and share them, coming on June 18 with Season 20.
We then get to see Metro 2039, which will release in February 2027 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
Next on stage was the world premiere of Bad Magpie by Milktooth, coming to PC and Xbox in 2027.
We then go to China with Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember by Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja, coming in 2027 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Join Us by Wolf Haus Games was next, coming in March 2027 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
We return to Ninja Theory’s nightmarish Nordic world with Senua, coming in 2027 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
Fallout 76 was next with the launch trailer of Infestations, which is already available.
id Software presented Doom: The Dark Ages Revelations, coming on July 7 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
Sega returned to the stage with Crazy Taxi: World Tour, coming in 2027 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
We then got the reveal of a special edition Xbox Series X and controller, titled Xbox Series X25.
Next on the menu was the next expansion for Age of Empires IV, Raiders of the North, coming in fall 2026 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
Mojang presented Minecraft Dungeon 2, coming on September 20, 2026, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch.
We then get to take a look at Uppercut Games’ Magicians: The Devil’s Deal, coming in 2027 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
The next game to take the stage was Valor Mortis by One More Level, starring Vincent Cassel as Napoleon and coming on September 24, 2026, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
It was then the inevitable turn of The Elder Scrolls Online, with Return of the Thieves Guild, coming on July 8.
We then get our beloved Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on stage with a new update dedicated to the National Parks in the United States.
World Update 22: US National Parks will feature over 30 National Parks and Monuments on top of a flyable Goodyear Blimp. As usual, it’ll be released at no additional cost for everyone who owns the simulator.
We also get a tease of the National Championship Air Races expansion, which will serve as the successor of the Reno Air Races for MSFS 2020. It’ll release in fall 2026.
We go back to China with Where Winds Meet: Hidden Mountain, coming in July 2026 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
Konami presented the newest Castlevania game, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, coming on October 25 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
Next on stage was the most anime game imaginable, Vivarium by Shochiku Games, coming in 2027 for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
We then got the world reveal of Persona 6, announced with a cryptic trailer for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5, and no release window.
Next on the menu, Toys for Bob revealed Spyro: A Realm Beyond, coming in Spring 2027 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
inXile Entertainment showcased Clockwork Revolution, coming in 2027 for PC and Xbox. Apparently, this will also be an Xbox console exclusive.
Closing the showcase, we took a look at Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, coming on October 23, 2026, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2
