During the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, Microsoft and Asobo Studio revealed new content coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 including the next World Update and more.
The World Update will focus on the United States, but not on the whole nation. It will instead include renditions of over 30 national parks and national monuments to show off the beauty of the country.
We get to see Acadia in Maine, the Great Smoky Mountains across Tennessee and North Carolina, the Dry Tortugas to the south of Florida, Big Bend and Guadalupe Mountains in Texas, the Rocky Mountains and the Great Sand Dunes in Colorado, Canyonlands, Zion, and Bruce Canyon in Utah, Death Valley and Yosemite in California, Crater Lake in Oregon, Mount Rainer and the North Cascade in Washington, the Glacier in Montana, Yellowstone and Grand Teton in Wyoming, the Badlands and Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, and the Grand Canyon in Arizona.
We also get a glmpse of the Goodyear Blimp, which will become flyable when the update releases at no additional cost for everyone who owns the sim on July 4, 2026.
That’s not all that we see, as the end of the trailer teases the National Championship Air Races expansion for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, which will serve as the successor of the Reno Air Races for MSFS 2020. It’ll release in fall 2026.
