To celebrate World Conservation Day, Frontier Developments shared a new look at one of the animal reserves that will be in Planet Zoo 2, the Scottish Highland Reserve.
The Scottish Highland Reserve features a relaxing atmosphere with beautiful mountains, waterways, and scenery reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands. Frontier Developments released a trailer showing off the reserve.

The Scottish Highlands Reserve is one of the areas that players will repopulate in Planet Zoo 2. Players will be able to help with conservation efforts by repopulating reserves like the one shown off today. Other reserves that have been revealed include the Great Rift Valley Reserve.
These reserves can also be customized, giving players more ways to make the zoo simulation game feel personal.
Planet Zoo 2 is set to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 13, 2026. In the past few weeks, Frontier Developments has shared several looks into the various breeds and systems in the game, such as the African Leopard and the new-to-the-series aquariums and marine management features.
Players can pre-purchase Planet Zoo 2 now, choosing between a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition includes the following:
