Microsoft has announced that the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 will take place on June 7, and it’ll be followed by a Gears of War: E-Day Direct.
The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 will feature news, reveals, and gameplay for both first-party Xbox titles and third-party games (though an Xbox Partner Preview was held just a few days ago). This includes games at every caliber, including some of Xbox’s biggest franchises and new indie releases.
The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 is also celebrating the 25th anniversary of Xbox, and the Xbox FanFest at Showcase is returning as part of that. Fans can enjoy the experience in person in Los Angeles, California, where they’ll learn about the history of Xbox as well as what’s coming in the future.

The Direct will feature gameplay, new details, and developer insights about Gears of War: E-Day, which will be the origin story to the popular Gears of War saga.
