SCS Software officially released update 1.60 for its popular simulator, American Truck Simulator, adding new features and content.
The first new feature is Game Radio, which will let you listen to a variety of radio stations spanning different genres, including Rust FM, Escape, PUMP IT!, Pop Gear, and Roadio.
The improved material system makes the interiors of your tracks more realistic and tactile, while minor adjustments to the global lighting, primarily focused on exposure and contrast balancing, change the overall look of the game a bit.
You’ll be able to express your brand identity with the new Players’ Company Paint Jobs across trucks and trailers, and speaking of paint jobs, you’ll also be able to apply the celebratory TourAmerica paint jobs to the Kenworth W900 and Kenworth T680 2022.
The Job Details Widget will display relevant job information, including cargo type and weight, delivery location, job income, and the remaining time to complete it.
Speaking of time, the Expanded Rest Mechanic will make sure (as long as you don’t deactivate it) that you take realistic breaks to get some beauty sleep in between drives.

American Truck Simulator is available for PC, and it’s the sister game to Euro Truck Simulator 2. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are also coming. An open beta of version 1.60 for PC is already available.
South Dakota is likely the next DLC, and we already saw its Truck Stops, countryside, towns, cities, more Truck Stops, the road network, more settlements, even more towns, and Hot Springs.
The game will soon cross the borders of the United States and go to Canada with the British Columbia DLC, of which we also saw some screenshots.
Then American Truck Simulator will return to the US with Indiana.
Another big project is the Road Trip feature, spearheaded by the Ford Car Pack (of which we also saw the Ford Crown Victoria, the Ford F-150, the Ford Mustang Fastback, and the Ford Bronco Badlands) and the Ram & Dodge Car Pack with the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody, which will expand the simulator’s experience from trucks to cars and pickup trucks, including pure exploration and the delivery of smaller packages.
