SCS Software revealed screenshots and details about new content coming to American Truck Simulator, including one of the cars for the Road Trip feature and Springfield from the Illinois DLC.
We start with the 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback that will be part of the Ford Car Pack, which will allow you to enjoy the Road Trip feature.
Interestingly, the car will have a number of colors inspired by real factory options, including Lime Gold, Acapulco Blue, Dark Moss Green, Silver Frost, Burgundy, and Candy Apple Red.
For the interior, there will be a variety of authentic interior trims like Black, Red, Saddle, Parchment, Ivy Gold, and Dark and Light Aqua, on top of luxury bucket seats or ComfortWeave insert seats. There will also be a Deluxe interior variant featuring brushed aluminium accents.
You can check out the screenshots below.

We also take a good look at the main city of the upcoming Illinois DLC, Springfield, which is the capital of the state.
Below you can enjoy both a number of screenshots and a video posted on X (formerly Twitter).

On top of the new content, we also get a video about the upcoming console version for both American Truck Simulator and its sister game Euro Truck Simulator 2.
We get an update on the project, and interestingly, we hear that a build of the game was already running at Poznań Game Arena 2025 on standard PS5, with many not really noticing that it wasn’t the PC version. That’s certainly promising.
American Truck Simulator is also available for PC, and it’s the sister game to Euro Truck Simulator 2. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are also coming.
Illinois is likely the next DLC, and you can check out its truck stops, the city of Marion, Rockford, Quincy, even more truck stops, Moline, Peoria, Champaign, the prairies, Bloomington, water bodies, more settlements, the Murals, and East St. Louis. We also recently got an extensive gameplay showcase.
South Dakota should come afterward, and we already saw its Truck Stops, countryside, towns, cities, more Truck Stops, the road network, and more settlements.
The game will soon cross the borders of the United States and go to Canada with the British Columbia DLC.
Another big project is the Road Trip feature, spearheaded by the Ford Car Pack (of which we also saw the Ford Crown Victoria and the Ford F-150), which will expand the simulator’s experience from trucks to cars and pickup trucks, including pure exploration and the delivery of smaller packages.
