Today, SNK Corporation has announced that Kim Kaphwan will join Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as the third DLC fighter included in Season Pass 3, arriving on September 24, 2026.
The legendary taekwondo master first debuted in Fatal Fury 2 in 1992 and has remained a prominent character throughout the series, bringing his unwavering belief in justice and his conviction that taekwondo is the world’s strongest martial art into battle. Kim’s arrival in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves also marks the first time he will be playable alongside his sons, Dong Hwan and Jae Hoon, allowing players to see the three members of the Kaphwan family fight together in the same game.
June Yoon provides is English voice, while Kunihiro Kawamoto returns as his Japanese voice actor, with Kim continuing his relentless pursuit of greater strength and using his skills to strike down those he considers evil. In Arcade Mode, Kim balances his daily training with his responsibilities as a teacher and father, while returning to The King of Fighters tournament to test his strength and reaffirm his convictions.
Episodes of South Town expand on his story as he returns after a long absence and reunites with Tizoc, who helped guide his sons, leading to an encounter where the three Kims confront personal feelings and strengthen their family bond. Players attending Tokyo Game Show 2026 will also be able to try Kim Kaphwan firsthand at the CFD Sales (Crowxis) booth 01-C13 in Hall 1 at Makuhari Messe.
Kim is included with Season Pass 3, which is available for $19.99 or €19.99 for owners of the base game and will include six total characters. The Revenge Edition bundles is also available, and includes the base game with Season Passes 1, 2, and 3 for $49.99 or €49.99.
The Legend Edition, which includes the base game and Season Passes 1 and 2, is currently 40% off at $23.99 or €23.99 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
