Atlanta Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator Gets Development Update; Should Enter Beta Next Week

Matteo Veneziani, creator of Orbx’s Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (KATL) in the United States for MSFS, announced that he’s aiming to have a beta version next week. He also added that if there are no major issues, the airport may still be released within this month.
Below you can read about the work left to do.
“I am aiming to have the beta version for next week (20-26April week ). The 3d objects placing task has been finished last week.
All the 3d objects have been placed with incredible attention to details. It is not random placing of objects here and there etc, but everything have been cured from ramps to the most hidden part of the airport, to ensure a real life replica as much as possible. With a creation of a lot of 3d objects, unique for Katl ( very time consuming). Here is an example of attention to details: – The famous Atl parking shuttle bus.
Next major task is to finish to place all the taxiway edge lights which at Katl there are 2 different types (flat and tall), center taxiway lights and runway incursion lights. Also the approach light system will be custom, a perfect replica of the real one, even for this there are more than 1 to reproduce!
After that i will finish the afcad, gsx profile, animations and stuffs like that.”
Lastly, we also hear that the X-Plane 12 version of the airport will not come at the same time, but it’ll be released in the coming months.
