Paradox Interactive has shared some of the details for the upcoming Paradox Mods update for Cities: Skylines 2, which will include a variety of improvements and a new Playset Sharing feature.
The new Playset Sharing feature lets players share their playsets with other players, as well as subscribe to other playsets in the Cities: Skylines 2 community. Once the Paradox Mods update goes live, players will be able to make a playset public on the right side.
From there, players can share a playset’s ID or its link. Sharing and subscribing to other playsets can be done directly through Paradox Mods in-game or on the Paradox Mods website.
The public version of the playset will stay the same as it was when it was published, which will let players change mods and try other things without worrying about the public playset. When a playset is updated, those who subscribe to the playset can choose to update to the newer version.
Only the playset’s creator can add or remove mods from it, but individuals using it can disable mods to tailor it to their liking. Additionally, players can duplicate a publicly available playset and edit it like that.

The upcoming Paradox Mods update will also improve the speed of the in-game mod manager. Part of the background process has been entirely reworked to do this.
These changes have also made it possible for players to still take actions and browse or add more mods while a mod is downloading. Multiple downloads can also go at the same time when this update goes live, along with a smart queuing process that will download everything as optimally as possible.
There’s also a new conflict resolution screen, which will give players more information when something goes wrong.

To learn more about the technical changes that were made to bring these changes to life, players can check out the developer diary about the Cities: Skylines 2 Paradox Mods update here.
This Paradox Mods update is planned to go live later this month.
