Today, Ashborne Games and THQ Nordic announced The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 will launch into Early Access on September 17, 2026. Alongside the launch announcement, the developers have confirmed that The Guild – Europa 1410 is being renamed The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 to better communicate its connection to Europa 1400: The Guild.
The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 demo is also receiving an update on the same day to bring its content in line with the Early Access version. The original game serves as the project’s primary inspiration. This new name is intended to distinguish Europa 1410 from The Guild 2 and The Guild 3, which feature their own identities and life simulation elements.
The remake focuses on the original Guild’s economic and strategic foundations, letting players manage their businesses, dynasties, and political influence in a medieval setting without directly controlling individual characters. The name change also brings several updates, including new key art and a new logo, and the Steam store page has been renamed to match.

The demo for The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 will now be hosted through the main game’s Steam page rather than a separate store page, giving the community a central place to follow development and access the demo, which the team plans to keep updating throughout Early Access and beyond.
The developers explained that the name change was partly prompted by community feedback, with some players arriving from The Guild 2 and The Guild 3 and expecting Europa 1410 to follow the direction of those later entries. While the team understands those expectations, it emphasized that the project has always been designed as a modern interpretation of Europa 1400: The Guild and hopes the new title will make its creative direction clearer.
Fans of the original Guild can also look forward to the return of Aart Veder, who will reprise his role as the German narrator. For more information on this and other medieval strategy titles, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for updates.
