Xbox and Asobo Studios released Aircraft & Avionics Update 05 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, while also kicking off the celebrations for the 6th anniversary of the return of the franchise.
The update brings a few add-on aircraft published by Xbox itself up to MSFS 2024 standards, while also refining them.
This includes a new pass for the ATR 42 and 72, which was already addressed in Aircraft & Avionics Update 04, on top of the Boeing 307 Stratoliner, Bell 47J Ranger, Curtiss C-46 Commando, and Ford 4-AT Trimotor.

As for the celebrations, six years have passed since August 18, 2020, which marked the return of the franchise with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
It marked the end of a dark age for flight simulation, in which the community shrank and innovation stagnated for almost a decade, and the beginning of a golden age that is still going on.
