Today, Hooded Horse and 3Division have announced Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic – Space Program, a new expansion for the Soviet-themed city-building simulator, set to launch on November 23, 2026.
This Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic expansion will introduce a full-fledged space program, allowing players to take their republic’s industrial ambitions beyond Earth’s atmosphere. The announcement also comes as the game celebrates surpassing one million copies sold.
Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic – Space Program will let players recreate the excitement of the Soviet space race by researching new technologies and building the industries needed to manufacture, assemble, and launch rockets. Inspired by historic milestones such as Sputnik 1 and the Vostok program, the expansion adds an entirely new layer of industrial management and scientific development.
Getting a rocket into space won’t be simple, as every component must be manufactured in specialized facilities, transported to assembly halls, and eventually delivered to dedicated launch sites. Players will need to balance scientific research with industrial production, maintaining supplies of electronics, steel, plastics, fabrics, and mechanical components while also producing the specialized fuel required for spaceflight.

Universities will play an important role in developing advanced rocket blueprints, but scientific breakthroughs will only go so far without a capable industrial network to bring them to life. As with the base game, careful planning and coordination will be essential to keeping the entire operation running smoothly.
The expansion will also feature a dedicated campaign set in the 1960s, giving players a chance to explore the new mechanics in a more relaxed setting. Starting in a prosperous, economically stable republic, players can focus on building their space program and pushing the boundaries of what their nation can achieve.
Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for $39.99. For more information on this and other Hooded Horse-related titles, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for updates.
