Today, Stardock announced that Ashes of the Singularity 2, the sequel to its large-scale real-time strategy game, will launch on Steam on November 10, 2026.
Set in the near future, Singularity 2 places players in the middle of a conflict over humanity’s survival, as technologically advanced human factions and a rogue artificial intelligence fight to secure their futures across the solar system.
The story follows three competing factions, each with its own goals, technology, and approach to warfare. The Post-Human Coalition consists of humans who have abandoned their physical bodies to achieve greater technological advancement, while the AI Substrate is a machine civilization created by a rogue artificial intelligence that will do whatever it takes to ensure its survival. Caught between these powerful enemies, humanity is losing ground and must fight to reclaim its future.

In response to the growing threats, Earth’s nations have united under the United Earth Forces (UEF), setting aside long-standing rivalries to defend humanity. Although the UEF is technologically outmatched and its individual units are weaker than its enemies, it relies on large armies, disciplined infantry, and military strategies developed throughout human history to overcome its disadvantages.
“We’re grateful to every player who jumped in during Next Fest and our playtests. Ashes of the Singularity 2 is a better game because of them,” said Adrian Wright, vice president of entertainment at Stardock. “On November 10, the fight to save humanity begins in massive-scale RTS battles we’re eager for players to experience.”
Players can lead humanity through the single-player campaign or command any of the three factions in skirmishes and online multiplayer matches. Each faction features its own units and distinct playstyle, giving players different strategic approaches to battles across expansive environments.
Ashes of the Singularity 2 emphasizes large-scale warfare, allowing players to command thousands of units across continent-sized battlefields. Its Strategic Zoom system lets players transition between a broad orbital perspective and frontline combat, while victory depends on planning, logistics, and battlefield positioning rather than rapid reflexes or controlling individual units.
The game will also feature customizable battlefields, computer-controlled opponents, competitive multiplayer and cooperative battles. Its environments include frozen lakes, dangerous mountain passes and lava-filled chasms, with persistent terrain damage that changes the battlefield as fighting progresses.
Following the Steam Next Fest demo and a public multiplayer playtest in September, the development team has continued refining gameplay, faction balance, performance, and multiplayer stability based on player feedback.
Ashes of the Singularity 2 will launch on Steam, with a standard edition priced at $39.99 and a premium edition priced at $69.99. The premium edition includes the base game, the first three downloadable content packs, and the soundtrack, and both editions will receive a 20% launch discount from November 10 through November 17, 2026.
