Today, Slavic Magic and Hooded Horse officially released Manor Lords Version 0.8.117 on the default branch for PC (Steam).
Manor Lords Update 0.8.117 brings a major overhaul to farming, new development perks, additional production options, and numerous settlement management improvements. The update introduces several new systems to make agriculture more detailed, while also adjusting resource production, livestock management, military balance, and AI behavior.
One of the biggest additions is a revamped farming system that introduces distinct Winter and Spring crop seasons. Wheat and Rye are classified as Winter crops, although players can still plant them in Spring for a quicker harvest at the cost of lower yields. Flax, Barley, and Oats are now Spring crops and can only be planted during their designated season. Fields also get a redesigned interface with a 12-month timeline showing upcoming agricultural activities, and crop rotation is now permanently enabled.
Fertilizer is another major addition, giving players more control over soil fertility. Pasture animals now produce Dung at different rates depending on their species, which can be collected by workers assigned to the newly introduced Dunghill building.
These workers convert Dung into Fertilizer, which can then be applied to Fallow Fields during Summer to increase their maximum fertility. Fertilizer remains effective for just over two years. Manor Lords Version 0.8.117 also introduces the Fishmonger artisan, who produces Smoked Fish using Fish and Salt. Six new development perk categories have also been added, unlocking at Settlement Level 3.
Experienced Forestry improves charcoal production, sawpit efficiency, and Bow Militia range, while Woodland Beekeeping introduces the Zeidler’s Hut, allowing foresters to manage beehives and harvest Honey and Wax. Fish Husbandry improves fishing capacity and adds winter fishing, while Livestock Provisioning adds benefits to animal breeding and meat preservation.
The remaining additions include Practical Tillage, which improves farming efficiency, crop preservation, and drought resistance, and Pastoral Practice, which boosts sheep reproduction, pasture capacity, and backyard animal production. The Born of the Alps perk has also been adjusted, removing the winter death penalty for sheep at high elevations and instead granting additional wool production.
Beyond the new content, Manor Lords Version 0.8.117 includes extensive artificial intelligence improvements. Computer-controlled settlements will now reassess their regional strategies daily, prioritize early trading opportunities, make better decisions about worker assignments, and improve how they construct buildings and manage resources. Numerous production, logistics, pathfinding, and construction issues have also been addressed.
Balance changes include a 2.4% reduction in crop growth speed, adjustments to soil fertility regeneration, and increased livestock breeding chances. Rye has received improved fertility bonuses and a 7% yield increase, while Warbows now deal 23% more damage and Crossbows have received a 16% damage reduction.
Manor Lords Version 0.8.117 also includes visual improvements, interface changes, additional tutorials, optimization work, and a lengthy list of bug fixes, including several crash-related issues. Since its launch in 2024, Manor Lords has been a considerable success, selling a million copies just 48 hours after its early access release, with a second million just three weeks later.
The medieval city-builder eventually even crossed the 3 million-sold mark back in February 2025. The strategy title is currently available in early access for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store for $39.99.
