Mil Mi-2 for MSFS 2020 Gets More Details; MSFS 2024 Version Already In the Works, and Other Platforms Possible

Today, Digital Aeronautics provided more information about its upcoming Mil Mi-2 Hoplite helicopter for MSFS 2020.
The aircraft has been created using photo scanning and photogrammetry techniques. Textures, labels, markings, and worn elements have been reproduced in 4K detail from thousands of pictures taken at various airfields.
The developers have paid special attention to the placement of 6,000 rivets, hatches, and side elements on the fuselage. The cockpiut and cabin have been recreated with similar attention to detail.
10 liveries will be included in the initial release.
Speaking of systems, we can expect “the highest flight simulation standards, providing a study-level experience with a fully clickable cockpit, realistic system simulations, and authentic flight procedures.”
There will be a manual based on official documentation, including detailed descriptions of flight procedures and real-life checklists
The flight dynamics have been tuned according to the flight manual specifications, with custom elements like pitch control, engine management, and autorotation, going beyond the default simulation. Real-world Mil Mi-2 pilots were involved.
The audio has been recorded directly from a real Mil Mi-2 helicopter, and all animated components, systems, equipment, and engines have realistic and dynamic sounds.
The helicopter is fully VR-compatible, and you can use VR controllers to fully operate it. The levers in the FSUPIC can be customized via the LocalVars list.
While the initial release will be for MSFS 2020, development for MSFS 2024 is already underway. If it’s successful, the developers are open to porting it to X-Plane and DCS World.
