Today, Teyon and Competition Company released a free update for Rennsport called Coast to Coast.
This major, free content and technical update follows recent fan feedback and introduces two iconic US circuits, significant changes to single-player AI mechanics, and an overhauled pricing model.
To start, both Laguna Seca and Sebring International Raceway have been permanently integrated into the simulator’s base track roster at no cost. The track surface transitions violently between modern asphalt and legacy concrete, making the need to manage vehicle balance over the brutal bumps of Sunset Bend and the progressive force feedback much more challenging.
It was also noted that the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport is being excluded. Although it was originally planned for Rennsport Coast to Coast, the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport is slated for release in a future patch.
This decision was made to avoid risking further delaying the complete update package. Alongside the new playable content, the update focuses heavily on addressing legacy code limitations to make single-player racing more fluid and responsive.
AI driver logic is now independent of the user’s graphical frame rate (FPS), ensuring consistent AI behavior on under-specced or fluctuating setups. Opponent pace and aggression levels have also been increased, meaning they’ll be able to push the limits across entire lap sectors.

The “Phantom Braking” has also been fixed. This widespread bug caused AI cars to suddenly slam on brakes for no apparent reason, which was highly visible on the Daytona Oval. Lastly, track pathing logic was refined to keep AI within circuit limits rather than running into the grass.
Trajectory logic on banked circuits, such as the Daytona Tri-Oval, has also been corrected to prevent AI from scraping the walls. Other technical notes include fixing ranking logic errors, patching DNS handshake bugs, and correcting the telemetry on the Mercedes-Benz CLK LM (1998) HUD. You can see the full technical changes below:
Tracks added
- Laguna Seca: Added to the permanent roster.
- Sebring International Raceway: Added to the permanent roster.
AI improvements
- Resolved an issue that caused some AI cars to “wiggle” when driving
- Optimised AI code to be less dependant on FPS performance
- Fixed an issue where AI drivers would not be able to drive full speed on tracks with banking (increasing their speed
- Fixed an issue where the AI would false start on some tracks
Gameplay & Progression
- Championship Integrity: Resolved a logic error where race winners were occasionally misreported as finishing second in the global championship standings.
- Transition Stability: Fixed a critical session-handshake bug where, under specific conditions, all drivers would be incorrectly marked as DNS (Did Not Start) during the transition from Practice to Qualifying.
Vehicles
- Mercedes-Benz CLK LM 1998: Rectified a rendering error where the HUD dashboard display failed to update or show telemetry data correctly during high-speed stints.
User Interface & Localisation
- Telemetry Systems: Completed the full translation pass for the Telemetry interface across all supported languages, ensuring consistent data reading for every driver.
Audio
- Fixed an issue with the 956 audio missing
Known AI-issues
- AI crashing into one another (especially on Nordschleife and Sebring)
- The AI will sometimes bump each other out of track limits
- If the player does not start driving at race start, they can crash into the player
- The AI has some issues with traversing the carousels on Nordschleife
The developers also stated they are now working on the next DLC targeted for this summer. They even revealed that they are changing their pricing model for Rennspot. As of June 19, 2026, the base price of the Standard Edition will be permanently reduced by 50%, helping bypass the need for platform-specific discount slots and ensuring that everyone, regardless of where they play, gets the same entry price immediately, offering double the content at half the price.
Rennsport is available for PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The racing title includes an Esport focus, which helped make it the only racing platform used at the Esport World Cup in 2025.
