In The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, players will follow police officer Lloyd Bannings after he’s assigned to work in the Special Support Section of Crossbell, a city that’s extremely corrupt. Players will work to weed out the corruption in the tactical RPG.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure is set after the events of Trails from Zero, and players will continue Lloyd Bannings’ story in Crossbell as regional conflicts put the city in a precarious position.

Both games are already available on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. However, the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 versions will have enhanced visuals and can support 120 FPS and 4k resolution.

Players will be able to choose between the original or upscaled textures. Additionally, the Nintendo Switch 2 edition will feature Mouse Mode.

The PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 release date trailer for The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero and The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure can be viewed below:

Both Legends of Heroes games will be available individually digitally, though the duology will be bundled together for physical purchases. They’re available to pre-order today.

That’s not the only The Legend of Heroes coming in September — Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is set to be released on September 17, 2026, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
