The main international airport serving Paris, the capital of France, was announced over a year ago, and a development update shared in December 2025 already did not sound too great, with the developer seemingly struggling to get access to the location.

Now we learn that, while the team has already invested plenty of time and effort into the project, they suffered from “limitations in access, reference gathering, and the overall conditions required to accurately and sustainably develop an airport of this complexity.”

Considering that LFPG is an extremely large and complex airport, it wouldn’t have been possible to reach a good standard of quality without sufficient references and direct access, which Aerosoft did not manage to secure.

When the airport was announced, the developer was in promising discussions to obtain these conditions, and they were confident that they would be met, but ultimately, these discussions did not have a positive outcome.

This decision to suspend development of Paris’ massive airport could be reversed in the future if the situation changes, but for now, two more renditions of the airport have been announced by Pilot Experience Sim and Azrsim, although only the former actually shared any screenshots of its progress and has talked about having extensive access to Paris CDG Airport. This isn’t too surprising, considering that the developer is based in France.
