Frontier Developments has launched its first Feature Focus video for Planet Zoo 2, focusing on some of the new animals in the African exhibits and giving fans a new look at the new animal emotion system.
The Feature Focus – Awe-inspiring Animals video gives players a look at West African Lions, African Penguins, Saltwater Crocodiles, Zebras, and Western Chimpanzees.
While many animals were shown off, the video centers around the West African Lions to show off the new animal emotion system. Animals have habitat and welfare needs that affect their emotions, and their mood will influence their behavior.
Additionally, researching animals is part of what players will do in Planet Zoo 2. By researching species, players can learn more about what they need and what will make them happy.
Happy, active animals lead to a better zoo reputation and more donations. This lets the zoo continue its work at rehabilitating, breeding, and reintroducing animals into the wild.
One of these wild areas that the zoo releases animals into is the Great Rift Valley Wildlife Reserve. The Feature Focus video shares a look at the reserve after releasing zebras and other breeds back into the wild.

More Feature Focus videos should come in the future. In fact, the Awe-inspiring Animals video teases the next one, which will share a look at the new underwater exhibits.
