Frontier Developments has released the first animal spotlight video for Planet Zoo 2, and it showcases the majestic African Leopard.
African Leopards are incredible climbers, and zookeepers in Planet Zoo 2 can use vertical habitats to keep them happy. Zookeepers can build climbing platforms and other enrichment items to keep the animals fulfilled.
By keeping their needs filled and their minds busy, players can make sure that the African Leopards, and other animals, can perform behaviors that they would in the wild. This leads to more interesting behaviors for guests to see and happier, healthier animals.
For example, a well-placed wall climbing object gives zoo guests a way to see how African Leopards climb without being hindered by tree leaves, which is what would happen with a more natural climbing outlet. This behavior system is heavily tied to the animals’ emotional state, which players can learn more about here.
There are also several different ecosystems that can house African Leopards throughout the Great Rift Valley Reserve, including dense forests and wetlands. These animals generally live solitary lives unless they have cubs.
Despite being solitary animals, the animal spotlight trailer does show the animals cohabitating with other animals peacefully.
