SCS Software revealed the first feature that will come to Euro Truck Simulator 2 with the next update, which will be numbered 1.62.
We hear that the developers have been focusing on bringing old assets up to spec with modern releases, and garages are part of that effort. The new ones will be released in update 1.62 across the base map and all of the available DLC.
They include new visuals outside and inside, but performance was still considered, preserving the balance between eyecandy and not increasing the hardware requirements.
You can check them out in the gallery below.

If you’re unfamiliar with Euro Truck Simulator 2, it’s a truck-driving simulator available for PC, but PS5 and Xbox versions have been recently announced.
The Iceland DLC was revealed a few months ago, and you can enjoy additional screenshots, in addition to its churches, the Ring Road, the coastlines, Keflavík, the fjords, Akureyri, and the bridges.
Further national DLCs announced focus on Ireland (of which we also saw a few screenshots, an iconic road, and Cavan) and on Turkey.
The development team is also hard at work updating relevant areas of the map, and the next rework focuses on the UK, including the Stonehenge area, Inverness, and Bristol.
Last, but not least, there’s the Coaches DLC, and we recently saw its bus stations, the Scania Touring, passenger satisfaction, the MAN Lion’s Coach, the Volvo 9700 Double Decker, the first gameplay, the new vehicle features, how to purchase coaches and take on jobs, how to switch modes, and tourist jobs.
