Planet Zoo 2 Photo Mode Revealed In Depth
Frontier Developments has revealed the photo mode for Planet Zoo 2, detailing all of the features included. Photo mode is a new feature debuting that was not included in the original Planet Zoo game.
Photo mode will be available in both the players’ zoos and within Wildlife Reserves to take pictures of animals in their natural habitats. It includes an impressive zoom lens, depth of field, and digital choices like contrast, saturation, exposure, and color tint before the photo is even taken. There are filters, including a night vision filter, to make it easier to see animals at different times of the day.

Planet Zoo 2 releases on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 13, 2026.
Cats in the Shell Gets Early Access Release Date and Demo
RavenStudio and Infini Fun have announced that their mech-building roguelike auto-battler Cats in the Shell will launch in Early Access on January 20, 2027. Additionally, there is a demo now available for players to try out ahead of Steam Next Fest.
In Cats in the Shell, players will assemble massive ironclad mechanoids that are piloted by cats, each with their own ability. Players will be able to mix and match over 1,000 different parts and modules to create their own custom battle loadout and participate in PvE encounters and PvP battles.

Lo-Fi Exploration Game Springs, Eternal Gets November Release Date and Demo
Fullbright and Serenity Forge have announced that their lo-fi narrative exploration game Springs, Eternal will release on November 11. Additionally, a demo is out now, and the game will be featured in Steam Next Fest later this month.
Springs, Eternal is a first-person game set in Stillwater Springs, a secluded hot springs retreat in the mountains. Players will explore the resort’s winding paths, pools, and caverns at night, encountering a cast of unusual guests and their stories through branching conversations. It’s up to the player to uncover the secrets hidden within Stillwater Springs.
