Today, HoYoverse revealed that not only is Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8, New: Eridan Sunset officially launching on May 6, 2026, but that the game will also launch on Steam.
Zenless Zone Sero New: Eridan Sunse is set to add plenty of new content, including action revolving around the pursuit of the mysterious target Ramiel in the Outer Ring, featuring two new agents: Promeia and Starlight – Billy.
Promeia is the executioner of Krampus and an S-Rank Ice Anomaly agent who excels at triggering Abloom on enemies by consuming Trial by Cold, which can be obtained by converting Corrosive Chill. Her EX Special Attack activates the Bound Absolution state, triggering a Perfect Dodge when attacked. When the squad includes another Anomaly or Support agent, she can also boost the squad’s Abloom damage.
Starlight – Billy is an S-Rank Physical Rupture agent, armed with a combat motorcycle and his signature Starlight Knight flying kick, delivering massive Physical burst damage. His Sheer damage increases based on his maximum Health, and the Physical damage dealt by all his attacks is considered Sheer damage, with some skills also restoring his own Health. Starlight Billy’s Ultimate unleashes his signature powerful kick, dealing a large amount of damage to enemies.
Both agents will debut in Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8, alongside reruns of Lucia (Ether – Support) and Orphie & Magus (Fire – Attack). The event will also feature a brand-new Wind-attribute enemy that introduces the Vortex combat mechanic, an elegant outfit for Hoshimi Miyabi, and a “Marcel Bootopia” themed event.
The new Wind Attribute Anomaly can trigger Vortex instead of Disorder, dealing AoE Anomaly damage matching the corresponding element. The new version of the “Marcel Bootopia” lets players control Eous to explore a
Bangboo resort island, temporarily closed due to an accompanying Hollow, rescuing trapped Bangboos, and collecting treasures.
The new outfit, Hoshimi Miyabi: Dignified Blossom, features the classic style of the Hoshimi family and will also be available in the shop after the update. There will also be a new Polychrome Guide feature to help track progress on limited-time rewards, and resource and storage management has been optimized, with a new auto-delete function introduced.
