Today, Kuro Games revealed the details for Wuthering Waves Version 3.8, titled “Lilies in a Dying Dream,” the next major update for its open-world action RPG, which is set to launch on November 12, 2026.
Wuthering Waves Version 3.8 Lilies in a Dying Dream will introduce a new main story chapter, additional characters and weapons, limited-time events, gameplay improvements, and several technical enhancements across supported platforms. It will also begin setting the stage for Version 4.0, offering players an early look at the next major world and narrative direction for the game.
The main story continues with Chapter IV Act V, “A Bouquet for Tomorrow,” while a new Tactical Hologram challenge, Calamity Effigy, adds more combat content. Version 3.8 will also introduce Lily as a new Resonator, accompanied by the Lullaby weapon. Players can also obtain Hiyuki’s new Deluxe Outfit, Lune Noire, along with the Flaming Sakura accessory.
Several new events will arrive throughout the update, including the leisure activities Second Coming of Solaris: Unwritten Dreams, Lahai-Roi Blocks: Turnabout, and Lollo Campaign: Groundwork. Players seeking additional combat challenges can join Dreamfield Odyssey. Two login events will also be available: Gifts of Bygone Dreams, which offers rewards over seven consecutive days, and Whither the Wind, which provides additional limited-time login bonuses.
Wuthering Waves Version 3.8 will feature multiple Resonator and weapon banners across two phases. The Featured Resonator Convenes will include Bloom of Yesterday’s Dreamsoil, When the Runes Glitter, and Wanderer Knows No Far and Near during Phase I, followed by Voices on Azure Feathers, Blessings From Dewy Winds, and Thousand Futures Mirrored in Snow during Phase II. Weapon banners will follow a similar schedule, featuring Lullaby, Solsworn Ciphers, and Emerald Sentence in Phase I, before introducing Azure Oath, Firstlight’s Herald, and Frostburn in Phase II.
The update will also bring back the Starpath Reverbs II and Tideforge Reverbs II systems through the Reverb Resonator and Reverb Weapon Convenes. These banners let players select a featured five-star Resonator or weapon as their target and change their selection at any time.
Beyond the new content, Kuro Games is introducing several quality-of-life improvements. Rover’s Resonance Conversion page has been redesigned with a streamlined interface that automatically switches to the equipped Echo Set corresponding to the selected Resonance Attribute. Players can also equip individual Echo Sets for each of Rover’s Resonance Attributes.

Material collection is receiving additional improvements in Wuthering Waves Version 3.8 through a new Material Locator button in the Guidebook and Resonator Ascension Planner. The feature lets players teleport directly to unlocked challenges that provide required materials or start those activities immediately. A new Blitz Mode will also let players restart material collection challenges after claiming rewards, without reloading the activity.
Additional improvements include optimized Resonator animations, with adjustments to turning, movement transitions, and combat hit reactions for smoother controls and improved visual quality.
PC players will receive new launcher options that let them choose between Full Resources and Basic Resources, along with an upgraded Resource Cleanup feature designed to free up storage space. Both features are being introduced through a limited test and will roll out gradually.
On supported consoles, players can also choose between Performance and Quality graphics settings; the option will initially be unavailable on PS5 and Xbox Series S. PS5 Pro owners can also enable PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), which can enhance image resolution up to 4K.
