Today, Bohemia Interactive released its Arma Reforger Rally DLC, introducing a new single-player racing experience featuring time trials across six tracks set on the islands of Everon, Arland, and Kolguyev. Launching alongside the paid expansion is the free Arma Reforger Update 1.9 Major, which delivers a substantial overhaul of the game’s vehicle handling and driving physics, improving the experience for all players regardless of DLC ownership.

The Arma Reforger Rally DLC challenges players to complete courses against the clock, with tracks featuring wooded bends, open airfields, and volcanic terrain.

Three distinct vehicles are available, each offering a different driving experience:

  • The Šárka 105 RS is designed for competitive driving, featuring an upgraded 130 hp engine, a five-speed gearbox, a wider body kit, and a racing steering wheel.
  • The Sputnik 600 RS offers a lighter alternative, inspired by an unconventional East German classic and powered by a two-stroke engine.
  • The Dana 2001 RS retains its Soviet-inspired styling, dashboard, and steering wheel while offering a more balanced option for racing.

Players can customize race conditions and compete against ghost times to track their progress and improve their personal records. The experience also accounts for the occasional accident, as AI spectators can help return overturned vehicles to their wheels, allowing drivers to continue their attempts without restarting.

Arma Reforger Update 1.9 features a comprehensive vehicle simulation overhaul, with redesigned engines, clutches, differentials, and wheels, alongside improvements to steering, tires, and suspension. Manual transmission also requires more careful clutch management, while revised torque distribution improves the performance of vehicles with multiple driven axles when navigating uneven terrain.

Additional driving improvements include support for racing wheels, pedals, and gear shifters, complete with force feedback. Mouse steering has also been added, while steering responsiveness is now consistent across keyboard and controller inputs. New visual effects for dust, mud, skid marks, and tire smoke further improve the driving experience.

Beyond the vehicle changes, Arma Reforger 1.9 introduces several additional gameplay features. Players can now use shovels to remove bushes, while base construction automatically clears vegetation obstructing building areas. Magazine repacking allows ammunition to be combined between compatible magazines, and canteens provide hydration that helps maintain stamina and steady aim.

The LAV-25 also receives several upgrades, including a night vision optic, smoke launchers, and a rate-of-fire selector. These additions come with increased supply costs and rank requirements. The update also includes numerous bug fixes and other improvements detailed in the full patch notes.

The Arma Reforger Rally DLC is available now for $7.99. For more information on this and other military and Racing Simulators, from War Thunder to BeamNG.drive, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for updates.
