Today, Siscia Games released the final early access update for its highly anticipated simulation title, Pompeii: The Legacy, which is set to launch in full on April 6, 2026. This pre-launch patch focuses on expanding core systems and adding depth to city management.
New army panels have been added to provide detailed insights into military strength, morale, and logistics, alongside citizen happiness mechanics. Events like City Feats and Public Games are now available to players as a new means of managing the population.
The health system has been expanded to include seasonal influenza and more severe disease outbreaks that require deeper management of medical resources. Other gameplay additions include reworked education and entertainment systems to make for clearer, more consistent behavior, and a new building: the Weaponsmith.

That wasn’t the only rework, as trade has been rebalanced, adjusting city roles, resource demands, and pricing to better reflect a realistic Roman economy. When released, Pompeii: The Legacy 1.0 will include all 52 updates from early access.
The post-launch roadmap will add controller support, modding/Steam Workshop integration, and Steam Deck optimization, all of which are already scheduled for post-launch updates. In Pompeii: The Legacy, players will be able to model and add upon one of the most famous and tragic locations in Italy, as the game places them in the shoes of the head of a Roman family overseeing Pompeii’s reconstruction over several generations.
Spanning multiple generations, the strategy title blends city management, narrative storytelling, political decision-making, and survival mechanics, tasking you with rebuilding, expanding, and defending your Roman settlement as you navigate family drama, shifting alliances, and the looming threat of natural disasters. Pompeii: The Legacy will be available on PC (Epic Games and Steam).
