The Pokémon Company has announced the next expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, Pulsing Aura, introducing intense new cards, a brand-new gold frame for cards that players have an excessive amount of duplicates of, and several events.
To start with, the Pokémon TCG Pocket Pulsing Aura expansion announcement showed off several Pokémon, including the following:
- Mega Lucario ex
- Mega Sceptile ex
- Vaporeon ex
- Riolu
- Treecko
- Bewear
- Emboar
- Croagunk
- Wooper (and Quagsire)
- Bisharp
- Kubfu (and Rapid Strike Urshifu and Single Strike Urshifu)
- Budew
- Hattrem
Additionally, Pulsing Aura will introduce a gold border for cards that players have received 10 duplicates of. This will automatically be given for any cards that fit this condition when the set is released, and gold-framed cards are able to be traded, too.
There are also several events planned from now until May. To start with, late April will see three events: Elite Deck Gift Missions, Handy Card Collection Missions, and Special Event 2026.
Elite Deck Gift Missions will run from late April to late July and gives players the chance to complete missions to get the Mega Charizard Y ex and Moltres ex Elite Decks. The Handy Card Collections Missions will run from late April to late July, offering rewards for completing missions that include popular trainers like May and Cyrus, while the Special Event 2026 celebrates 1.5 years of Pokémon TCG Pocket with promo cards, accessories, and more.
Through May, players can look forward to the Pulsing Aura Emblem Event, Community Week, a Mega Heracross ex Drop Event, and a Wonder Pick Event.
