The Pokémon Company has shared a release date for the second part of the paid Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass DLC. Part two, Dazzling Decorations, will launch on December 9.
In this second part of the three-part Expansion Pass, Dazzling Decorations is focused primarily on dressing up Pokémon by giving them accessories to wear. Players will be able to dress up their Pokémon friends in accessories such as ribbons, bow ties, and sunglasses.
Additionally, there will be new furniture added in this part of the Expansion Pass, like couches, tables, and other items. These can be used to decorate Pokémon houses and other spaces in the towns.
Like in part one, new Pokémon species will also be available to discover, this time in each of the towns. New species such as Sylveon, Snubbull, Skitty, Doduo, Braixon, and more will make their debut in the game, and each of them can be dressed up in accessories and given furniture items as well.
Part one of the Expansion Pass, Bubbly Basin, added a new town based on Cerulean City for players to explore and build in. Unfortunately, Dazzling Decorations will not be introducing a new town.
However, when part three of the Expansion Pass arrives in 2027, there will be another additional town to the game, bringing the total towns to seven (with the two DLC towns included). It is currently unknown what theme that town will have or if it will be based on another Kanto town.
Before players can jump into the Dazzling Decorations DLC on December 9, they will need to make sure they have updated their game to version 3.0.0. Additionally, players will need to make sure they’ve completed the requests “Raise the environment level!” and “Rebuild the Pokémon Center!” requests, as well as Drifloon’s request “Find a doll!” These quests take place during the first few hours of the base game.
The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass costs $34.99 and is available now to purchase exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2. The Expansion Pass includes all three parts, with part one being out now, part two launching on December 9, and part three releasing in 2027.
