Paralives Studio is gearing up for the Early Access release of Paralives later this month, and it has recently released a video and some graphics explaining what Early Access is for Paralives and what it will (and won’t) include.
As the name suggests and the video explains, Early Access means that Paralives won’t be a complete game when it’s launched. While there’s still plenty of content for players to enjoy, there’s a lot that won’t be completely finished, and players run the risk of encountering bugs. For a life simulation game that gives players complete control, it’s not weird for bugs to pop up.
The goal is for Paralives Studio to get feedback from players while giving fans a way to play the game as it’s being developed. Many of the systems in the game are being worked on and improved, even after the Early Access launch, so players can look forward to nothing but improvements for what they’re experiencing.
For example, the basics of the Social system will be available, though there will be plenty of interactions added throughout the Early Access phase of Paralives. More emotions and social events will come in the future. A more in-depth look at the features that will be available on launch for Paralives, and what’s planned to come through Early Access, can be found here.
The world within Paralives is also still being developed, so players may notice that it’s not very deep. The same goes for customizing Parafolk.
Paralives Studio also explained that features that have been teased over the past six years of development have had to be shelved for the time being. This includes things like Parafolk taking shoes off when they go inside a home and using ziplines.
Early Access is planned to last for two years. Throughout that time, there will be plenty of free content added to match what players expect from a life simulator. Additionally, modding support will be available at launch through Steam Workshop, giving players an easy way to add more content to their game.
