Gargoyle Garden, a cozy pixel gardening sim about growing magical plants, has been announced for PC. In this game, players can open enchanted seed packs, hire cute creatures, and work towards upgrading a beautiful greenhouse.
As the title may suggest, the local shopkeeper is a talking gargoyle named Gidian who crafts magical seedlings that help the player grow their plant collection and bring the once-forgotten greenhouse back to life. Gargoyle Garden features a mix of hands-on gardening and indirect idle progression to create a relaxing experience.
There are more than 250 different plants to discover, ranging from familiar, real-world houseplants to enchanted and mythical flora. The game allows players to unlock and restore up to five greenhouses, each with its own distinct biome and atmosphere. Additionally, there are five animal gardeners, such as a lemur and a pangolin, that can be enlisted to help automate plant care and work towards keeping the greenhouse thriving.
The detailed pixel art in Gargoyle Garden comes to life as players interact with their surroundings. For example, players will find that lamps will sway, birds may deliver gifts, and plants gently react as the player passes them by.
