Marvel Rivals Season One finally has a release date, and with the upcoming season comes four fantastic new characters as they fight against Dracula and an army of undead vampires.

The Fantastic Four has long been leaked, and now players know they’ll be arriving on January 10. This includes Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing. There’s no news on what roles these characters will have or their abilities quite yet, but there are a few hints in the trailer.

For example, Invisible Woman creates a forcefield, and Human Torch zips around quickly. The Thing and Mr. Fantastic don’t have any obvious game-related actions, though The Thing does turn over a bus, and Mr. Fantastic gets sucked into an electronic device.

The group is brought on because Doctor Strange ends up stuck with Dracula on the Entangled Astral Plane. He accidentally scatters the Darkhold pages, and the group is left to fight the vampire and his army.

While this puts to rest the rumors about the Fantastic Four, it brings up several questions as well. Blade, one of the most notorious Marvel vampires, has been leaked previously. With the vampire themes from Season One, many are speculating that he’ll be a surprise release or come very quickly after the season ends.

The Fantastic Four addition makes sense. Marvel Rivals has been intertwined with other Marvel things, like Marvel Snap. The Fantastic Four is getting a movie in 2025, so the timing is perfect.

Marvel Rivals has been a hit for NetEase, gathering 10 million players in just 72 hours after it was released. The first update, 20241210, showed that the developers are ready to address player concerns, too.
