Gaming Factory has revealed that JDM: Japanese Drift Master is getting its multiplayer feature later this month on PC, though consoles will have to wait a bit longer.
Multiplayer has long been a feature that fans have requested and developers have been promising, and it’s finally coming to the game. However, there are a few caveats.
To start with, multiplayer will only be available in the open world sandbox mode, and up to eight players can be in one lobby. Specific game modes will be made for multiplayer, which are planned to come to the game later this year.
As of right now, there are plans to have color coding for each player, the ability to ping locations on the map, a command text chat to communicate in-game, a ghost mode to disable collisions, and the ability to visit shops without disconnecting from multiplayer.
There will also be a voice chat for communicating in-game, too.
On June 11, 2026, multiplayer will be available for JDM: Japanese Drift Master on Steam. PC players who have the game on GoG and Epic will have to wait a few more weeks to get the multiplayer update, though a specific date hasn’t been mentioned.
PlayStation 5 and Xbox players will have to wait until Q3 of 2026 to get the multiplayer update. An FAQ about multiplayer and the cause for the delay on consoles can be found here.
A new trailer was launched for the multiplayer announcement, which can be viewed below:
JDM: Japanese Drift Master has quite a bit of content coming, including the American Classics DLC later this month and more planned for Q2 of 2026, like liveries.
