Today, Electronic Arts revealed that EA Sports College Football 27 would be launching on July 9, 2026. Alongside the release date, the Standard and Deluxe covers for athletes were announced.
The Standard Edition features a trio of Oregon quarterback Dante Moore, Miami wide receiver Malachi Toney, and Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy. The Deluxe Edition features Texas linebacker Colin Simmons, Notre Dame cornerback Leonard Moore, USC quarterback Jayden Maiava, national championship-winning coach Curt Cignetti, and several beloved mascots.
When addressing the covers, EA VP of Franchise Strategy and Marketing Evan Dexter stated the following:
“College Football 27 promises to be an incredible year, one in which we’re able to start reflecting the modern era of college football more authentically and with more depth for our players than ever before, said Dexter. “Our cover athletes – Kewan Lacy, Malachi Toney, and Dante Moore – represent that modern era by transcending programs and drawing in generations of college football fans, regardless of their school pride.”


EA Play members will be able to access EA Sports College Football 27 via a 10-hour early-access trial starting July 2, 2026. EA Play Pro members can also play the EA Play Pro Edition starting July 6, 2026, and receive recurring monthly College Ultimate Team Packs and 10% off EA digital content.
Since returning for the first time in over a decade back in 2025, the EA Sports College Football has seen considerable success. The franchise’s rise back to prominence saw extraordinary net revenue, generating over $500 million in sales within its first two weeks and selling over 2.2 million copies.
