During the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct, Springloaded announced a release date for their upcoming game Let’s Build a Dungeon. The game development simulator will be releasing in Early Access on February 11, 2027.
In Let’s Build a Dungeon, players can begin their game development journey with four unique game modes, multiple quest pillars, and thousands of hand drawn assets to use in their custom worlds. At launch, players can manage a game studio and develop an in-game MMORPG up to the point of a “GameLink Early Access,” and as the actual game receives updates throughout its Steam Early Access period, they can expand their creations towards a full in-game release. If that sounds completely meta, it’s because it totally is.
In addition to the Campaign Mode that combines studio management with RPG creation, there are three additional game modes in Let’s Build a Dungeon. There’s Just Build Mode, which allows for a streamlined, low-pressure world-building experience; Creative Mode, which is an open sandbox full of game-making tools and full creative control; and Dungeoneering Mode, where players can enjoy curated experiences by Springloaded and other developers in the community.
The game will also feature Twitch integration, which allows players to invite their chat into the game as virtual players, letting them vote on key studio decisions.
You can check out the Early Access release date trailer that was revealed at the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct below.
Here’s what the team at Springloaded says about the trailer:
“The trailer is about a fake game being made in Campaign Mode – but of course it’s also about Let’s Build a Dungeon. Lots of our own experiences as an indie studio are already in the game and we love blurring the lines between what is in-universe and what is real-life. If you have the privilege of a passionate community who enjoy your game enough to want more features and more content – it’s nice to return that respect and try to do everything you can to deliver a great game they can enjoy. Launching into Early Access will allow us to work with our community to do just that.”
Let’s Build a Dungeon can be wishlisted now ahead of its Early Access release on February 11, 2027, and there is a demo available to try right now. The game is coming to PC and Xbox in partnership with Kowloon Nights.
