The title was originally slated to release on May 29, 2026, but development went smoothly enough that it could be moved up. Anyone who pre-orders any Deluxe Edition of Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will also receive 72-hour early access, starting on May 19.

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is an all-new open-world action-adventure video game that lets players become the hero of Gotham City, inspired by decades of Batman films, television shows, comic books, and games, combined with DC lore and TT Games’ signature brand of fun-filled LEGO humor.

Alongside Lego’s unique gameplay and storytelling approach, there will be plenty of cosmetic rewards for fans of the series to unlock, including the Golden Age Batsuit (at launch) and his debut look from Detective Comics #27 (1939). To celebrate the release, four new LEGO DC Batman sets are available now, each including in-game digital content redeemable when LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight releases:

  • Lego DC Batman: The Batman Batmobile
  • Lego DC Batman Batman v Superman Batmobile
  • Lego DC Batman: Batman & Robin Batmobile
  • Lego Gold Batsuit

It is important to note that the in-game gold variants are only available through the purchase of each specific Lego set. For more information on Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and other Lego and DC video game content, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for updates.
