JDM: Japanese Drift Master is making the rounds once again before its pending release, this time providing a brief look into its iconic Subaru car collection.
In the video below, developer Gaming Factory highlighted three fan-favorite Subarus in particular:
- Subaru BRZ (2013) – one of the most balanced and engaging sports cars.
- Subaru BRZ II (2022) – refined for the perfect driving experience.
- Subaru Impreza WRX STI (2002) – rally icon with an unmistakable hood scoop, and raw performance.

The Subaru BRZ – which stands for Boxer engine, Rear-wheel drive, and Z for Zenith – is all about reaching peak performance potential. Despite its high performance, the car features a naturally aspirated 2.0L/2.4L boxer engine, prioritizing sharp throttle response and precision handling over raw power.
Introduced in 2022, the follow-up to this car, the Subaru BRZ II, features a larger 2.4L naturally aspirated Boxer engine, increasing both horsepower and torque, providing more low-end power for improved acceleration. This version is all about a refined, smoother driving experience.
Last but not least, there is the Impreza series that dominated the 1990s WRC, the Subaru Impreza WRX STI. Thanks to its turbocharged Boxer engine, all-wheel-drive system, and aggressive aerodynamics, it remains a dream car for manual drivers, especially considering it introduced Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD).
Each of these models has been meticulously recreated for this upcoming racing simulation title, capturing every detail from iconic bodywork to signature handling. JDM: Japanese Drift Master is set to release for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG on March 26, 2025.
