Today, Hooded Horse, Unfrozen Studio, and Ubisoft announced that Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era has officially surpassed 1 million copies sold via Steam Early Access and PC Game Pass day one.
To celebrate, a brand-new roadmap has been laid out for Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, covering immediate plans for the next few months and future goals for early access, both heavily based on user feedback so far. Some of the most requested changes are Teamplay mode, a rebalance of Hero skills, and further improvements to the random map generator as initial targets for development.
General goals for early access include adding Underground terrain, Map Editor improvements, and Ironman mode for the campaign. Later this year, the developers plan to introduce an Observer mode, Elite Class reworks, and matchmaking improvements, as well as long-term goals such as completing the single-player campaign, adding map-sharing support, and introducing a new PvE mode.

There will also be regular updates as the early access period rolls on throughout 2026, including new content (heroes, spells, creatures, etc.), UI improvements, AI tweaks, and plenty of quality-of-life.
Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is available in early access for PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store (via Game Preview) for $39.99.
