After teasing its release earlier this month, Le Mans Ultimate update 1.4 officially went live today, introducing new content, overhauling several core gameplay systems, and delivering hundreds of fixes across physics, online racing, virtual reality, and track content.

Headlining Le Mans Ultimate update 1.4 are the Cadillac V-Series.R Evo Hypercar, updates to the Alpine A424, and the arrival of Daytona International Speedway and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca as part of the U.S. Track Pack 1 DLC. The iconic Circuit de la Sarthe also receives an extensive refresh to reflect the 2026 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The update overhauls the braking system, with brake temperatures, pad wear, and friction now modeled more accurately. Tire punctures are now physically simulated, and tire behavior, rolling resistance, and heat transfer have been improved. Damage modeling has also been revised for more predictable results during on-track incidents.

Online competition now features a redesigned protest system. Players can submit incidents directly from race replays and receive three protests per month. Successful protests refund the credit used, and the previous cooldown between submissions has been removed.

Team endurance events now require drivers to meet minimum drive-time requirements to earn Driver Rating and championship points. Players who previously exploited the system will have their Driver Ratings adjusted. Single-driver events now include Event Jokers, which protect Driver Rating and Safety Rating during select races after players reach participation milestones.

Multiplayer stability has been improved in Le Mans Ultimate update 1.4 by switching from TCP networking to Reliable UDP connections. Additional netcode enhancements reduce latency-related collisions, improve reconnections after disconnects, and support a more flexible network port range.

Pit lane procedures have been significantly refined as well, as drivers can now begin driving directly from the pit lane when leaving their garage. New safety systems also prevent cars from spawning into unsafe situations, entering blocked pit boxes, or driving through rival teams’ pit areas without penalties.

Virtual reality players now have native OpenXR support, field-of-view resolution scaling, and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution. PC players also benefit from AMD FSR support, graphics optimizations, and improved image quality.

The update also improves controller support, fixes crashes and performance issues, refines championship systems, and expands hosted server functionality. Additional quality-of-life improvements have been made to the user interface, replay tools, and Race Watch screens.

Le Mans Ultimate update 1.4 delivers one of the largest circuit revisions yet for Le Mans, adding new grandstands, fan zones, lighting, advertising, trackside buildings, crowds and broadcast elements to better match the real-world 2026 event. Numerous curbs have been reprofiled for improved accuracy, while track surface materials, barriers, branding and night lighting have all been updated. Monza, Portimão and Silverstone also receive targeted fixes and adjustments.

Vehicle updates cover nearly every class. Hypercars now have revised tire behavior, reduced rear tire wear, updated default setups, and the latest Balance of Performance changes, which adjust GT3 weight, Hypercar acceleration, and manufacturer-specific performance. Cars from Aston Martin, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, Ford, Genesis, Mercedes-AMG, Oreca, Peugeot, and Porsche also receive visual, setup, and physics updates to better match their latest real-world specifications.
