Today, Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios thanked their fans for playing Forza Horizon 6, as the racing simulator celebrated over 6 million active players joining the festival in Japan within just four days since its release.
Alongside the celebration, the developers also wanted to address feedback on the numerous issues players have raised about Forza Horizon 6 and outline their plans to resolve them in the post-launch window. Playground Games confirmed they are actively tracking bugs, stability issues, and player feedback across social media to prepare the first major post-launch performance patches.
These area improvements include improving the drivatar AI balance, fixing PC audio crackling, and troubleshooting crashes and load-time errors, among many other small quality-of-life changes.
- Drivatar AI Balance – We’ve heard from you that sometimes our AI opponents are too fast to compete with, especially at higher difficulty levels. As we investigate, we will monitor your feedback and review our data, coming back to you with an update once we have something concrete to share.
- PC Framerate on AMD GPUs – We’re aware of performance issues on AMD graphics cards, and we are working on fixes to improve overall framerate. Your feedback around how the game is running on your system will help us to find additional optimizations, so continue to leverage the Forza Feedback Portal to share your experiences with us.
- PC Audio Crackling – We’re investigating a potential fix for audio crackling when playing the game on some PC hardware configurations.
- PC Crashes and Invalid Loading Errors – We’ve been reading your reports about some of the crashes and errors you are encountering in the PC version of Forza Horizon 6. We’ve already released a hotfix that makes improvements to the Invalid Loading errors, and we’re continuing to work on additional fixes that will be rolled out in future updates. Some of the crashes we’ve observed are from hardware that fall below our minimum supported PC specs or unsupported operating systems.

They also reminded fans that the first Festival Playlist series for Forza Horizon 6, Welcome to Japan, has already kicked off, with new events and rewards available, and that it will be the first of many.
New series updates will be released monthly, introducing new cars, features, and additional content to the game. The Italian Passion Car Pack will be available in July for Premium players; the two expansions are included in the Premium Edition and Premium Upgrade, and the PlayStation 5 release is coming later this year.
Forza Horizon 6 officially released earlier this month, after being announced back in September 2025 to celebrate Tokyo Game Show 2025. The title finally brought the franchise to Japan, a setting that fans have requested pretty much since the first Forza Horizon showcased the potential of open-world racing games.
