Today, Playground Games announced that Forza Horizon 6 has officially gone gold ahead of its May 19, 2026 launch, with Early Access for Premium Edition owners starting May 15, 2026.
This milestone means Forza Horizon 6 has been pressed onto discs for retail and is now prepared for digital release. To coincide with this important milestone, the upcoming racing sim is now available for preload on Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Xbox app, with a Steam preload coming soon.
On Xbox Series X, you will need to have at least 135GB of available storage (130GB on Xbox Series S), and on PC, 160GB and an SSD is required. Anyone who has pre-ordered the game (Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, or Premium Edition) or has an active Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass membership qualifies.

Those playing Forza Horizon 6 can also preload the game today on smartphones using the Xbox app by tapping Store, then Download to Console to get started.
Alongside this news, the soundtrack was revealed, featuring more music than any previous title and a significant roster of Japanese artists. The developers will be revealing the extensive track selection of radio songs in the game over the next few weeks and will also create a Spotify playlist for each station:
- Horizon Pulse
- Horizon Bass Arena
- Horizon Block Party
- Horizon XS
- Hospital Records
- Gacha City Radio
- Sub Pop Records
- Horizon Wave
- Horizon Opus
The soundtrack features a blend of returning favorites and new energy, including Anna Lunoe, Rusko, Shift K3Y, and Urbandawn.
Forza Horizon 6 will boast a rich suite of accessibility features the Horizon series is known for, like AutoDrive, full controller remapping functionality on all platforms, screen reading narration, subtitles, adjustable camera field-of-view options on PC, color-blind filters, Offline Game Speed modification, and a full set of difficulty settings and driving assists.
