Electronic Arts has announced a renewed partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to bring Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond back to EA Sports FC 27.
For the first time in the series, players can take control of AFC Richmond Women, the Lady Greyhounds, with characters, locations, and themed rewards across Career Mode, Football Ultimate Team, and other game modes. Ted Lasso is an award-winning comedy-drama television series starring Jason Sudeikis as an American football coach who moves to England to manage AFC Richmond, a fictional professional soccer club.
Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond’s men’s team first appeared in FIFA 23 in September 2022, letting players manage the club, play as its squad, and explore its iconic Nelson Road stadium. Ted Lasso was also available as a selectable manager in Career Mode, while AFC Richmond-themed items, including Kits, Manager Items, and other customization rewards, appeared in Football Ultimate Team.

Fans can take the pitch with its Women’s team in Kick Off, lead the Lady Greyhounds as Ted in Career Mode, and represent Richmond in their own Club in Football Ultimate Team. However you play, FC 27 and Ted Lasso are united by the belief that football is better together.”
AFC Richmond Women make their debut in EA Sports FC 27 as part of the Women’s Rest of World category. The team is playable in Kick Off, Career Mode, and Online Seasons, while Nelson Road returns as an in-game stadium, letting players compete at AFC Richmond’s iconic home.
Manager Career Mode lets you take charge of AFC Richmond Women as Ted Lasso. The experience features deeper integration with social media stories, cutscenes, and touchline interactions, alongside themed Challenges that bring more of the series into the game.
Football Ultimate Team also receives Ted Lasso-themed content, with Objectives offering rewards such as Kits, Stadium Cosmetics, Manager Items, and other customization options. Completing these Objectives also contributes to Season Progress, giving players more opportunities to unlock rewards while representing Richmond.
