Today, Bulkhead and Team17 announced that Season 2 of Wardogs will launch on October 15, 2026, bringing a major update to the 100-player tactical first-person shooter after its successful Steam Early Access debut in September.
Wardogs Season 2 will introduce new weapons, vehicles, construction options, and weather conditions, along with significant changes to combat balance, faction progression, and other core gameplay systems based on player feedback and gameplay data. There will add four new weapons: the TCX-SPR Assault Rifle, M14 DMR, PP-19 Bizon SMG and Evo-3 Ultra LMG, along with a selection of new attachments.
The vehicle roster will also expand with the Wolf-110, an armed assault variant, the T-72B3 main battle tank, and the Flakpanzer Gepard anti-air vehicle. Three new buildable structures, including an MG Nest, Large Shelter, and Wooden Step, will also provide additional options for defending objectives and strengthening battlefield positions.

Wardogs Season 2 will also introduce a new rain weather preset that affects visibility, engagement distances, and sound across the battlefield. Rain will interact with damaged and destroyed structures, while server-synchronized thunder can temporarily mask footsteps, giving players opportunities to reposition and launch attacks without being detected.
Another experimental addition is the Wager Vendor, which lets players stake in-game cash on their performance by selecting objectives with additional conditions for potentially larger payouts. Bulkhead has described the feature as an early experimental system that could be expanded, modified, or removed throughout the season if it becomes too exploitable.
Beyond the new content, Wardogs Season 2 will bring extensive combat adjustments to weapon damage, recoil, and suppression, aiming to create clearer distinctions between weapon classes. Bulkhead will reveal the full patch notes next week, providing further details on the changes coming to the game.
Faction balance will also receive considerable attention, with Bulkhead launching a recruitment drive to encourage players to join Lonestar, the blue faction with the lowest win rate in Season 1. Uniform and spawn changes will be accompanied by exclusive cash and XP bonuses for Lonestar players, while vendor discounts for teams falling significantly behind and restrictions on late-match team switching aim to address competitive imbalances.
Additional improvements in Wardogs Season 2 will target squad coordination, vehicle handling, controller responsiveness and progression, with new rewards for teamwork and logistics also planned. Performance optimizations, bug fixes and server stability improvements will round out the update as Bulkhead continues refining the experience throughout Early Access.
“We’ve learned a huge amount from watching people play Wardogs since launch. Season 2 gives players more weapons, vehicles, and ways to play, but just as importantly, we’ve been working through the feedback and making changes to the systems that matter every match,” said Joe Brammer, CEO of Bulkhead. “Early Access is about continuing to build the game with our community, and this is the first major step in that process.”
Wardogs launched on Steam Early Access on September 10, 2026, and has sold more than 3 million copies, peaking at more than 425,000 concurrent players on Steam. For more information on this and other upcoming updates, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for updates.
