Firefighting Simulator: Ignite takes players into the role of US firefighters as they battle fires and head to other emergencies that the first responders encounter. In case you aren’t aware, US firefighters are the first responders to many different accidents that aren’t just fires, like car wrecks or even home medical problems.

It’s not clear what emergencies will be included in the upcoming sim, but the Steam page for it specifically points out that they’re US-based and therefore first responders. The sim will also release with Mod io support, which means other services like this could easily be modded in and be realistic.

The fires themselves use Unreal Engine 5 physics, which are incredibly realistic. The sim’s mechanics will also require players to utilize realistic techniques, like ventilating fire spread and making sure that objects nearby stay cool.

Other realistic situations can crop up in the middle of an emergency as well, like new smoke trails causing spreading problems.

Of course, the realism doesn’t end there. Players will need to use authentic firefighting tools like saws, fire hoses, axes, Halligan tools, and extinguishers. The fire engines and trucks are also accurate, and players will need to inspect them to make sure they’re in tip-top shape between missions.

The fire station hub is where players will spend their time relaxing and learning between missions. Emergency calls will come in, and players will need to get to them as quickly as possible.

Firefighting Simulator: Ignite can be played in a few different ways. Players can tackle fires solo, with NPC teammates, or with up to four friends in co-op. There’s also eight characters to play as, and different outfit sets take the customization even further.

Fans can view the sim’s reveal trailer below:

Firefighting Simulator: Ignite is set to release in Fall of 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Publisher Astragon Entertainment has previously released a successful firefighting sim, Firefight Simulator – The Squad.
