Taleworlds Entertainment released a major update for its sandbox RPG Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord and its expansion War Sails.
The update is numbered v1.2.5 for War Saild and v1.4.5 for the base game, and it has been released only for PC, for now. Consoles will get it in early June.
Among the big changes for War Sails are the introduction of seaborne village raids and changes that will prompt increased naval activity. Naval battles themselves have been overhauled.
Changes also came for the base game, including changes to armies, diplomacy, hideout infiltrations, battles, and sieges.
Your clan members will also be able to take on two party roles, while if you have War Sails, there will be new naval party roles.

If you’re unfamiliar with Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord, it’s a sandbox RPG mixing strategy, management, and first-person combat in delightful ways.
The War Sails expansion added a whole new layer of gameplay with naval warfare. They’re both available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 at the same time.
It’s worth mentioning that the expansion also brought a whole new faction, the Viking-inspired Nords. The map changed rather considerably to accommodate the new naval gameplay.
