HoYoverse has held its Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3 Special Program, revealing what’s to come in the next Honkai: Star Rail patch, like Mortenax Blade,
Following the events of Version 4.2, the Astral Express crew and friends are looking to pit the Voracity against the Abundance to get rid of Shuhu. The Trailblazer will also search for Graphia and deal with the fallout of Fulwish on Planarcadia and the appearance of another Lord Ravager from the last patch.
With Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3 placing an emphasis on getting rid of Shuhu, Blade takes the stage yet again. With Shuhu sealed inside of him, he’ll no doubt be affected by the events, which leads to the brand-new five-star character, Mortenax Blade.
Mortenax Blade is a five-star Fire Nihility character. He deals AoE damage, which is enhanced with his Ultimate. He also has a second form that can be used after his Ultimate has created a zone on the battlefield. Additionally, when his zone is active, enemies are debuffed when hit by allies, and Blade will launch follow-up attacks after a certain number of attacks from allies.
Players who get Mortenax Blade will get a new Trailblazer fashion item, Karmic Fire of the Distant Shore.
Phase 1 of Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3 will feature Mortenax Blade and Yao Guang. Phase 2 will feature Cyrene and Phainon.
For events, a Pixel Plane Rumble event puts players in the pilot seat of an arcade plane, where they can upgrade the plane and go through classic shoot ’em up arcade levels to earn rewards.
There will also be a Wispae Amusement Park event, where players will be the architects behind the next Star Rail Fest’s routes. It’ll be done in practice runs for Wispae.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3 is also coming with a few optimizations. First, mobile players can use the new Home Screen widget to check game information at any point, like event rewards left and daily progress.
Additionally, Version 4.3 is adding a new Permanent Mission for Daily Rewards, giving players the ability to claim rewards when they use vouchers or immulsifiers.
A new Starward Mode is coming to Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction, and Apocalyptic Shadow. This adds an additional stage, where players will need a third team to complete it. This will also add new rewards, including Stellar Jades.
New collaborations with Ugreen, Kura Sushi USA, and M. Rage were revealed. Honkai: Star Rail will also be at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles.
Finally, the long-awaited second phase of the Fate/stay night collaboration will be released in Summer 2026. This phase will feature Rin Tohsaka, a five-star Quantum Erudition character, and Gilgamesh, a five-star Lightning Destruction character.
Players will be able to claim Gilgamesh (or choose to claim Archer if they missed him the first time) once the collaboration goes live until the end of Version 4.6.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3 will be released on June 1, 2026, on PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile devices. Players can watch the trailer for Version 4.3 below:
