Deep Silver and King Art Games released a new cinematic trailer of its upcoming RTS game, Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 4.
Specifically, the trailer introduces the Necron faction and their lord, the powerful Chronomancer Thothmek of the Szerkhan Dynasty.
As he observes the Space Marines and the Orks duke it out on the surface of Kronus, he comments on the desecration of the ancient Necron tombs on the embattled planet and awakens his warriors to retake what he believes rightfully belongs to the Szerkhan Dynasty.
As they awaken, the trailer showcases a few examples of the units you’ll be able to command or to fight against: Necron Warriors, Triarch Stalkers, Canoptek Scarabs, and Lych Guards.
Of course, the Necrons aren’t the only playable factions in Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 4, since we’ll also be able to take command of the aforementioned Space Marines and Orks, on top of the Adeptus Mechanicus.
Each faction will have its own dedicated campaign, and you can take a look at the Necrons below.
Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 4 arrives on PC via Steam on September 17, 2026. It still doesn’t have a release date, but you can also check out its announcement trailer, the reveal of Dark Angel Primarch Lion El’Jonson and his chapter, and a look at multiplayer gameplay.
Incidentally, if you don’t know King Art Games, they rose to prominence a few years ago with Iron Harvest, which certainly put them on the radar of many RTS fans.
