Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport for MSFS Gets New Screenshots and Development Update

Pilot Experience Sim released new screenshots on Discord and a development update about its upcoming Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (LFPG).
“Development is moving forward very well, although we must admit that every milestone we planned has ended up being significantly underestimated. The sheer scale of this project is monumental. Rather than rushing through it, our response has been to pay even more attention to detail and focus on delivering the highest quality possible.
During the past two months, we completed the ground artwork for Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. In total, this represents 29 weeks of work dedicated to ground design alone. There is still ground work remaining across the airport, but the most challenging areas are now behind us.
With the abundance of recent reference material available, every detail can be accurately reproduced. It takes time, but trust us, we are just as eager as you are to finally fly over it ourselves!
LFPG has also forced us to rethink our usual workflow. Normally, we complete the entire ground layout first and then move on to buildings one by one. On this project, however, we had to precisely model the shapes of all terminal structures beforehand in order to create the ground markings and layouts correctly.
Terminal development is progressing nicely, and numerous secondary buildings are continuously being added. There are now over 300 secondary structures across the airport. Completing each building involves much more than modeling and texturing; it also requires creating LODs and preparing a dedicated MSFS 2024 version, which brings additional work involving spotlights, emissive lighting, and LOD adjustments.
It may not always be obvious from the outside, but the project is advancing extremely well. At this point, after spending so much time working on it, we know these 33 km² of airport grounds like the back of our hand.”
