Today marks the first day of FlightSimExpo 2026, and flight simulation developers shared plenty of news about aircraft, scenery, and hardware for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, MSFS 2020, X-Plane, and more.
Simulation Daily publishes a roundup every day for all the news across the flight simulation field, helping you keep up to date with the ins and outs of the industry. Of course, today is going to be much bigger, and the same will go for the next two days.
Before we move on to the flight simulation news, you can check out today’s episode of our “Can You Guess this Airport?” video series.
Without further ado, I leave you with today’s flight simulation news.
Wingflex Presents New Hardware

Wingflex kicked off the day at FlightSimExpo with plenty of product reveals from its line of relatively affordable flight simulation hardware.
The manufacturer is entering the full-scale market with the DAP 500, a general aviation-style autopilot panel that launches today and costs $139. We also get to see more general aviation panels coming at a later date.
We then go back to airliners with the GMP, the Gear Management Panel, inspired by Airbus, coming in September.
More Airbus products include the ECAM control panel (ECP), coming in December for $99, and the Cockpit Flight Display, also coming in December for $199.
December will also bring an Airbus tiller for $99, for those who want more realism in ground operations.
We then move on to 2027, with the BN777 Glareshield Combo inspired by the Boeing 777. This is modular, and the MCP on its own will cost $199, coming in March.
Back to Airbus, we’ll see two full-scale and modular throttle quadrants. The Airbus Throttle Standard will release in April, while the Airbus Throttle Pro will release in December. Both will have additional panels for those who want to combine them into a full pedestal.
Tupolev Tu-154M Announced for MSFS 2024 and More
Next on stage at FlightSimExpo was FlightSim Studio, which talked about the upcoming MSFS 2024-native Tecnam P2012 Traveller. It’s already in testing and serves as a testbed for the developer to work natively on the newer simulator.
It’ll include walkaround mode, career mode compatibility, several variants including the new VIP cabin, more system depth, new sounds, and renewed visuals. Learnings from it will be applied to the Tecnam P2006T, which will get the same treatment.
Moving on to airliners, we get to see the new textures of the Boeing 727, which will also get a v2 native to MSFS 2024 with walkaround mode, the ADV variant, and additional system depth.
Version 1.0 of the Embraer E-Jets is “around the corner” with deeper systems and a fully custom autopilot. It’ll be pushed to the experimental branch this week. After it’s released, a native version for MSFS 2024 will be developed.
The developer also announced a partnership with Anatolii Iakmets to launch the Tupolev Tu-154M, developed from the ground up for MSFS 2024.
The aircraft has already been in development for 4 years, and it will come with the following features.

Boeing 787 by Vector for MSFS 2024 Gets New and Detailed Showcase

Vector shared more information and images about its upcoming Boeing 787. First of all, we get to see a new livery, representing United Airlines 787-9 N27958.
The developer also shared a look at the hydraulic system in action in the new gallery of screenshots, and how different pages can be moved anywhere on the MFD system, and even displayed on screen halves.
Moving out to the EFB, the original Boeing Electronic Flight Bag has been reproduced in its entirety, including every page, menu, and available function.
The integrated checklist system includes 700 pages and 3366 Checkpoints for Normal Procedures (NP), Supplementary Procedures (SP), and Non-Normal Procedures (NNP).
The developer also showed how the fonts have been reproduced from the ground up to faithfully represent those used in the real aircraft’s screen.
We also hear that audio has been recorded directly from a real-world 787 and will have its own dedicated spotlight down the line.
As usual, Vector vows that everything showcased today is already working in the simulator, and no part of the systems of its 787 (or anything else) has been recycled from the default 787-10. Everything has been built from scratch.
Airbus A220 for MSFS Showcased in New Trailer
Synaptic Simulations showcased its Airbus A220 for Microsoft Flight Simulator, providing a brief but enticing look at the visuals and systems.
You can check it out above, including a list of the features you can expect. The only thing missing for now is a release date.
